A: The opening system design of the MK17 can be described as a fusion and evolution built on the design experience of the MK5 and MK50. It integrates the complex multi‑piece opening design of the MK5’s faceplate, while incorporating the MK50’s side armor opening mechanism — which give the helmet more Sci-fi vibe — and the rear neck opening for easier wear. On top of that, it adds opening sections on the top of the helmet. It can truly be called a new benchmark for Iron Man helmets.

Q: How well can I see with this MK17 helmet on?

A: You can see through the helmet, but not very well. The eye sections are made of a dotted plastic that lights up with the LEDs. You see through those tiny holes, but the bright LED light really limits your vision. In practice, you’ll probably only clearly see objects within about 10 inches in front of you,if you want to see a bit further,cloes the eye light.

Q: what's inner structure of MK17 helmet

A: Like MK5 and MK50,the inner side of the helmet is full of servo Motors/chips/wires and other electric apartments,giving it a fantastic Sci-Fi Vide.

With more opening pieces,the inner structure is more complicated.

Q: Can I wear it to ride a bike or motorcycle?

A: NO! Visibility is limited when wearing it. Do NOT use it for any riding activities! It's cool for photos, not for the road!

Q: what if it's too big for me ?

A: The helmet is designed to fit most adult heads (up to about 60 cm/23.6 inches circumference). If your head is on the smaller side and the helmet feels loose, some users suggest wearing a sweatband or neck warmer underneath to make it fit more securely.

A new standard of IRON MAN helmet!

As a long-time customer of Geekreplicas, I’ve picked up quite a few things from this site over the years. One day, they reached out and asked if I’d be interested in a sample of the MK17 helmet. Honestly, I didn't even know there was a new Iron Man helmet in the works. I’m so glad I opened that email! This new helmet is actually even better designed than the MK5 and MK50 I bought previously—even if the Heartbreaker armor is a bit of a niche pick, LOL. They told me it hadn't hit mass inventory yet, but offered me priority access as a loyal customer. They were cool enough to give me a heads-up that waiting six months or so might land me a better price, but I just couldn’t wait. They asked if I’d be willing to write a review, so here are a few improvements I’ve noticed on the MK17 compared to the MK50:
1 Voice output is way clearer.
I’m not sure if my MK50 was just a dud or if it’s a common issue, but the voice feedback on that one always had some static—whenever I’d say "Friday" to wake it up, the "Yes, Sir" response would come with this annoying background fuzz. The MK17 doesn’t have that problem at all; all the audio responses are crisp, which really makes the helmet feel more high-tech.
2 The design is next level.
It blends the faceplate opening design from the MK5 with the neck section from the MK50, and they’ve even added a split design on the top. It’s the most complex build to date, and the visual effect in person is just stunning!
3 The battery compartment is much more user-friendly.
If you own the MK5 or MK50, you know the drill: digging the battery pack out from behind that black fabric lining and stuffing it back in is a total pain. It wasn't the worst, but on the 17, they moved the battery pack to the outside. Swapping batteries is a breeze now.

Overall, I really didn’t think these Iron Man helmets could evolve this much. I’m pretty sure I was one of the first people to get my hands on this, and my son is already bragging about it to everyone at school!
